我们教什么? |  What we Teach

在九霄会馆,我们通过太极训练来推广传统中国文化。利用现代教学法,在一个新颖,活跃,现代,跨文化的环境中,开展太极训练,适合有求知欲并有意愿了理解传统文化精髓的年青人。

在过去的65年间,太极在中国大陆内外的发展路线截然不同。在中国大陆,太极首先剥离了秘传的内容,之后被改造融入现代陈氏太极。在中国大陆以外,港台及东南亚地区,以及西方的华人社会中,太极的发展则依循杨露禅(1799年-1872年)、其徒孙杨澄甫(1883年-1936年),及吴鉴泉(1870年-1942年)的训练传统。

在九霄会馆,我们训练传统太极。传统太极拳,如教学得当,可培养出健康体魄、内在力量以及内在本质的净化提升。在九霄,我们训练肢体时强调“意”,而训练“意”时强调与“体”的关联,“当以心空无我,洗心涤虑,凝神入气穴,是为火入水中”(赵避尘<性命法决明指>)。

At 9clouds studio we aim to promote traditional Chinese culture through the practice of Taiji using modern teaching methods in a fresh, lively, modern, multi-cultural environment, suitable for young enquiring minds, who wish to understand the depths of traditional culture.

In the past 65 years Taiji has evolved on 2 diverging paths, inside and outside Mainland China. Within Mainland China Taiji was first stripped of its esoteric content, then reconstructed into the modern Chen Style. Outside Mainland China, in Taiwan, Hongkong, Southeast Asia and the Chinese community throughout the Western world, Taiji continued to develop in the old tradition of Yang Luchan .(1799–1872) and his grand-students Yang Chengfu (1883–1936) and Wu Jianquan (1870–1942).

At 9clouds we teach traditional Taiji. Traditional Taiji, when taught correctly, nurtures good health, internal strength and refinement of the inner nature on a deep level. At 9clouds when teaching the body we emphasise the mind and when teaching the mind we emphasise its connection to the body, “The fire of the mind is plunged into the water of the body.” (Zhao Bichen’s – The Secrets of Cultivation of Essential Nature and Eternal Life).

  如何开始  |  How to Begin

我们的课程适合看重学习深度、进步速度、和文明雅致的训练环境的人。
我们在每月第一个星期招收新的太极会员。你可以根据课表选择一周两次课或多次课(周一除外)。每周的上课时间可根据个人情况调整。正式上课之前,我们会建议你观摩一节课,这样你会看到我们如何上课,我们也会答疑解问。
我们提供太极架路视频和笔记辅助学习,不收取额外费用。我们也没有统一服装。我们销售并建议训练时穿简单柔软的室内鞋。场地在训练前15分钟开放。馆内有陈列太极相关书籍,供会员阅读。上课无需预约。

This course is for those who value learning deeply and progressing quickly, in a cultured, refined environment.

We accept new Taiji beginners in the first week of each month. You may attend 2 or more classes per week chosen from any of the twice daily classes (except Mondays). That choice may vary each week to suit your personal availability.

你将学些什么  |  What You Learn

我们从第一节课开始训练松身五法,太极架路,推手和冥想。这四个训练环节中,新入门的会员跟随主课训练,直到超出个人进度时会有老师单独教学,进入下一环节时再加入主课训练。我们的教练和助教能讲中文和英文,我们会根据学生情况安排。
三个月以内,入门会员学完首套太极架路,五种手套路,以及第一阶冥想,并完全融入主课的训练。
太极的益处很快就能体会到,训练越久益处越大。你首先会觉察到身体紧绷的部位开始放松,对身体的觉知更加清晰,平衡感的提高,以及面对外在生活困境时保持心态中正平和能力的提高。

We teach 5 Loosening Exercises, Taiji Form, Pushing-hands and meditation, from the first class on. Within each of these 4 divisions the beginner follows the main class up to their level then is taught further by a separate instructor, rejoining the main class for the next division. Our teachers and assistant instructors speak Chinese and English as required by the individual student.

Within 3 months, beginners complete the first Taiji Form, learn the first 5 Tuishou, practice the first level of meditation and are fully integrated into the main class.

Basic benefits come quickly in Taiji, and continue to grow as practice continues. You will first notice a releasing of the body’s tensions , a stronger awareness of the body, increasing balance and a growing ability to remain calm and centred within the difficulties of outer life.

派瑞克利大师习练太极和冥想四十余年,涉及道家、瑜伽和苏菲理论。这些给他带来了这个现代社会不多见的丰富经验。他曾是太极大师黄性贤唯一非华人入室弟子。黄性贤大师被认为是当代造诣最高的太极大师。

Patrick has practiced Taiji & meditation for over 40 years within the Daoist, Yogi & Sufi traditions, giving a depth & breadth of experience rarely seen in the modern world. He was the only non-Chinese inner-school student of Huang Xingxian, one of the most accomplished Taiji masters of recent times.

派瑞克利老师将现代教学方法融入传统的内功训练,附加详尽的内功理论和力学原理。他在全世界有超过一百人的教练团队,以及数千人的学生。他著有四本关于太极和冥想的著作。

Patrick employs modern didactics to present traditional internal training, with refined explanations of inner principles & dynamics. He has a world network of more then 100 instructors teaching some thousands of students. He is the author of 4 books on Taiji & meditation.

  松身五法    |   Five Loosening Exercises

松身五法是由太极宗师黄性贤(1910-1992年)依据太极原理创建的一套基本练习方法,能为太极架路和太极推手作良好的准备。现今全世界已有成千上万人在练习松身五法。松身五法中也贯穿了“肌肉放松,关节打开,平心静气”的基本太极练习要领。
 
The Five Loosening Exercises are a set of basic training methods, created by Master Huang Xingxian (1910-1992) as preparation for the Taiji Form and Taiji Tuishou. These 5 excercises are now practiced by tens of thousands of people throughout the world. The Five Loosening Exercises teach the Taiji principles of “Loosening the muscles, freeing the joints, calming the emotions and quietening the mind”.

  三十七式短架   |   37 Move Taiji Yang Short Form

九霄会馆教授的三十七式太极短架是由杨澄甫大师(1883-1936年)于30年代在上海所创。此套路训练“意”“气”“体”的贯通及内功的发展。郑曼青大师(1902-1975年)是杨澄甫大师最杰出的弟子之一,又称“五绝老人”,精简老套架路为三十七式,使之益于快速教学与演练。黄性贤大师,是郑曼青大师最杰出的弟子,也是近代造诣最高的太极大师之一,又对杨氏老架进行了进一步的改良。此套架路分为五段,每一段都可以单独学习和训练。

At 9Clouds, we teach the 37 Move Taiji Short Form, based on the Form created by Grand Master Yang Cheng-Fu in Shanghai (1931). The Taiji Form trains the Mind – energy – body connection and develops inner-power. One of Yang’s best disciples Master Cheng Man-Ching (1902-1975), also known as the “Master of Five Excellences”, shortened  the Form to 37 Moves, which made it faster to teach and learn. Master Huang Xingxian, perhaps the best disciple of Master Cheng and one of the highest level masters of the past generation, further refined the Taiji Form of Grand Master Yang. The Taiji Form is divided into 5 sections. Each section can be learned and practiced independently.

  固步推手    |   Fixed-Pattern Pushing Hands

我们会教授固步推手,培养感悟对手力量的洞察力。初学者将接触到推手中揉、化和发劲的要领。

We also teach basic fixed pattern pushing hands. These build sensitivity to the partner’s power and introduce the principles of pushing hands, yielding, neutralising and issuing.
